The Greater North Shore Link Partners Group

A Collaboration of Individuals and Agencies of 19 Communities of the North Shore & Cape Ann

Who meet regularly to network; stay apprised of, and help shape policy and advocate for aging and disability rights.

We provide services to persons of any age who have any type of disability, people age 60 and over, family members, caregivers, and private pay consumers.

By 2060, there will be about 98 million older persons, more than twice their number in 2014
About 56.7 million people, 19% of the population had a disability in 2010, according to a broad definition of disability, half reporting the disability as severe
People in the oldest age group 80 & older were about 8 times more likely to have a disability as those in the youngest group - younger than 15. (71 percent of the population
46.2 million is the number of seniors who were age 65 and older in the United States in 2014 (the latest year for which data is available).
Seniors 65+ comprise 14.5% of the total population, about 1 in every 7 Americans.
Roughly 30.6 million had difficulty walking or climbing stairs, or used a wheelchair, cane, crutches, or walker. The senior population grows every year.
